Since both versions of FH2 will have the same car list, this limitation would exclude open wheel cars from both, even though the XB1 version COULD pull it off. The FH1 engine could not render open wheeled cars (lacking animated suspension bitz), and FH2 on the 360 uses same engine. The AU Type D would be an EXCELLENT barn find, but there's one problem: it's open wheel.

Granted, that was in Russia, but it is still a great classic car.Īs this was in FM5, it has been in Forza but never in FH. This was essentially a real-life barn find. I was just playing around on FM5 and thought the recently-added 1939 Audi Auto Union Type D would be a good candidate for a barn find. With this approach, you could also restrict certain events to just "Concours" cars, or just to "rat rods" and Retro-mods". Basically, just 2 different saved "Tuning Set-ups". You would be able to switch between "retro-mod" and "Concours", as the body would be the same, only different mechanicals.

That is, once you go to a "Retro-mod" or full "Concours", no going back to "rat rod" or "survivor". Once you make your final selections, Dax goes off to build your ride, and let you know when it can be picked up at the garage.Īlso, the body can be "as found" only once.

#Concours forza motorsport 4 upgrade#
If you have selected any option besides "survivor", you are next taken to the "Tuning" menus, where you can make your upgrade selections, and see the total costs for the proposed build. "Retro-mods" might cost tens of thousands, while a full "Concours" might be hundreds of thousands. Maybe a "survivor" for a few hundred credits, or a "rat rod" for a few thousand, is all you can afford. When you first discover the barn find, you may not have (or want to spend) the credits needed for a full "restoration". This is essentially what Dax is doing in FH1. Full rotisserie, all original parts, and no expense spared. Maybe an option to delete chrome, to save coin?ĭo a "Concours" restoration. Unlimited customizations, race and rally included. Repair body to stock condition, new chrome, etc. No cosmetic upgrades, but "street" or "sport" level upgrades to running gear.īuild a "retro-rod". Fresh tires, new battery, get it running and safe to operate. Each option has a suitable cost in credits, as well. For example, once you have discovered the "barn find", Dax presents you with his appraisal, and more important, your options. I fully agree, I wish the barn experience was more creative. You can repeat the rustic look in paint, yes, but not the chrome bumpers or headlight covers. I would love to get an old Ford Deluxe Coupe to remain with its rustic appearance, but fully tune the thing. CarbonCamaroSS "On a side note, I hope that they let us customize the barn finds ourselves.
